The annual MMRBQ afternoon festival is one of my favorite events of the year. Great music, cool interaction with Philadelphia’s #1 Rock Radio station personalities, celebrities and all kinds of skimpy outfits for the women. The popular Boston-based heavy metal band Godsmack teams up with Shinedown and Slash. Godsmack has released five studio albums, including three consecutive number one albums with 19 top ten rock radio hits. Godsmack is known for touring on Ozzfest and other large rock festivals throughout the US. In just over 10 years, Godsmack has sold over 20 million records including popular hits such as “I Stand Alone”, “Awake”, and “Voodoo”. Selling more than 10 million albums worldwide, the American rock band Shinedown is best known for their hit song “Second Chance”, along with “45” and “Sound of Madness”. Slash, formerly the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, has been recognized as number six on “The 100 Greatest Guitar Solos” for his solo in “November Rain”. He also is considered to have the greatest guitar riff ever in “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. Some of Slash’s hit songs include: “Crucify The Dead”, “Ghost”, and “Gotten”.
